Creating a storyboard for a short film

For this task, I created both a digital and a hand-drawn storyboard for the video made in Week 1 (Assignment 1: Digital Design Project 1).

Digital Storyboard

I created the digital storyboard using some screenshots of the video (I only captured the shots that best described and summarized the video, and gave a good idea of the time and space sequences and of the video). I added these snapshots and also a quick written description for every shot (describing both images and audio/sounds).

Then, I made a presentation of these slides using Adobe InDesign; here's the link to the digital storyboard presentation: digital storyboard - InDesign presentation.pdf

Hand-drawn Storyboard

For this version of the storyboard, I basically used the same content and sequences of shots as in the digital one, only using a different medium (pencils, black texters and paper!)

To help get the idea of action and movement in the different scenes and contexts, I also added, where needed, some "arrows" to underline the action of the character in that particular moment and space.
