"Insights gained from reviewing others' work" - some notes for myself made from reviewing fellow student's A1 works, that could be useful to develop my work as well.
Other students have sub-divided each paragraph (colour, resonance, etc) into smaller bits of text, instead of writing one big chunk of 200 words all in one paragraph.
Some other students have focused deeply on the cognitive processes of colour, and how our visual our perception influences/alters/affects our mental, behavioural and cognitive process.
Some others, like myself, are focusing on dissonant experiences, to challenge common design practices and beliefs, according to which only perfect consonance of colours and other design elements, create positive user experiences.
One work in particular really impressed me. The student is focusing on 3D environments, but thinking about them as as a journey of discovery, and experimentation with colours. These colour combinations will be designed to experience an emotional transformation, when moving from point A to point B (the end of the environment and thus the end of the journey). By the time the user gets to the end, they will have experienced an emotional journey and explored a range of emotional valence responses. This is definitely a great alternative way of thinking about shaping experiences in relation to 3D environments. As I am studying colour in 3D spaces, this "transformative journey and experience" element could definitely something to reflect on.
