TCRE Week 9.1 Testing and Feedback on A2 prototype

Testing work done so far on screen in Black Box - Feedback

  • dissonance can easily move into obscurity and overwhelming feelings. What's the boundary?

  • Dissonance can unpack different emotions and levels, from slightly noticeable to actually overwhelming and cacophonic. What level/outcome do you want to achieve?

  • Images of optical illusions based on colour already carry lots of meaning in terms of colour, motion (the movement of the eyes, trying to understand the image and unpack all the elements) and resonance.

  • Is it worth translating the resonance and meaning of those 2D assets into 3D? If yes, how?

  • Evaluating assets individually to understand their individual resonance, relevance and level of dissonance.

  • sound and interaction. Consider playing sound as background/ambient soundscape.

  • Curating individual assets into an exhibition with a specific theme. How do you explain and justify that theme of dissonance in a professional way? How can you show that dissonance and confusion are intended to be there and are not arbitrary results?

  • How do you curate an intentionally dissonant environment without overcrowding and obscuring it?

  • Make a selection of assets, don't include everything

  • Consider what really feels dissonant to you, why, and how can you include it in a final curation/exhibition

  • Separate environments for each asset, or is it worth including all the assets into 1 space??

  • Do these assets compliment each other or not? Are they overcrowding the environment or underlying its qualities?
