This post is about the feedback I received from family members and friends when they tried to navigate the environment and explore its features.
After explaining to them how to use the mouse and keyboard shortcuts to move around in the environment, they tried to navigate around the space while I was recording the screen.
The testing process helped me out to notice that the main camera wasn't placed in the right position, it was too low and wasn't rotated towards the inside of the environment. Moreover, some assets were placed correctly on the ground and it looked like they were floating in the air.
A few family members told me that the music was too loud according to them, but that was exactly how I wanted it to be: as discos are very noisy places, I wanted the music and sounds to be loud and quite disturbing at times.
Overall, they all agreed that the first things that caught their attention were: colours, animated lights moving around and the organization of the environment (assets were placed in the right places and seemed to recreate a real disco.
I also wrote down a questionnaire for them to complete after the navigation, and below is a screenshot of their answers.
Below is the feedback questionnaire and a video recording showing how they interacted with the environment.
